Image to Video
Transform static photos into dynamic videos with AI. Use Image-to-Video (I2V) tools to animate characters, products, and landscapes with precise motion control.
Image to Video (I2V) Generation
The Image to Video tool is a powerful asset for marketers and animators. It bypasses the randomness of text-to-video by allowing you to define the exact starting frame (composition, color, character) of your video.
Core Technology
Unlike text-to-video which builds pixels from noise, I2V uses your uploaded image as the Frame 0 anchor. The AI then predicts the subsequent frames based on motion vectors implied by the image content and your text instructions.
Supported Models
- Veo I2V: Best for preserving the fidelity of the original image (high structure retention).
- Sora I2V: Excellent for dramatic transformations and large camera moves.
- Wan Pro I2V: Optimized for character animation.
Usage Guide
1. Source Asset Criteria
For optimal results, your input image should meet these standards:
- Resolution: Minimum 1024px on the shortest side.
- Aspect Ratio: Match the output aspect ratio (e.g., upload a 16:9 image for a 16:9 video).
- Quality: Free of jpeg artifacts, blur, or noise.
2. Prompting for Motion
You can control what moves in the image using the text prompt.
- Camera Motion: "Zoom in slowly", "Pan right", "Drone flyover".
- Subject Motion: "The girl smiles", "The car drives away", "Clouds moving fast".
- Atmospheric: "Rain falling", "Fire flickering", "Neon lights pulsing".
Example Workflow:
- Upload a static photo of a coffee cup with steam.
- Prompt: "Steam rising gently from the cup, cinematic lighting, distinct particles."
- Set Motion Strength (if available) to 5.
- Generate.
3. Motion Bucket / Strength
Some models accept a "Motion Bucket" ID or Strength parameter.
- Low (1-3): Subtle movement, minimal distortion. Good for "Living Photos".
- Medium (4-6): Standard action.
- High (7-10): Aggressive movement. Higher risk of warping the original image features.
Commercial Applications
- E-Commerce: Turn static product shots into rotating 3D-like videos.
- Social Media: Animate blog header images for Instagram Reels.
- Real Estate: Create "fly-through" videos from exterior photos of properties.
Limitations
- Face ID: While character consistency in I2V is better than T2V, the face may slightly deform during extreme expressions.
- Text: Small text in the background image may become gibberish as it moves.
